The Department of Mechanical Engineering envisages the upbringing of technologically advanced and ethically strong engineering professionals with innovative mindset for serving the society at large.

Mission:

  • To impart academic excellence among students thorough industry ready curriculum consisting of modern laboratories, interdisciplinary courses and industrial training for ascertaining fundamental strength in mechanical engineering.
  • To inculcate an ambience of cutting edge research and imbibe advanced computational skills to encourage students towards higher studies at national & international levels.
  • To foster creativity, critical thinking and innovative mindset through various projects addressing real-world complex engineering challenges such that students get exposure to leading industries.

PEOs of the BTech in Mechanical Engineering Program:

After successful completion of the B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering Program, the Graduates will be able to achieve the following Program Specific Outcomes:

  • PSO1: Apply mathematical and advanced software tools for design and analysis of critical mechanical components.
  • PSO 2: Demonstrate knowledge of renewable energy, sustainability and Electric Vehicles to comply with new generation automotive industries and green energy industries.
  • PSO 3: Develop the skills of rapid prototyping like 3D Printing for testing and fabrication of innovative products useful in the field of mechanical engineering.
