ELIGIBILITY

B.Tech

Admissions to any of the seven streams of engineering offered are strictly based on guidance of West Bengal University of Technology. Aspiring students can submit the duly filled application form. Admissions will be through the relevant Admissions' Committee. All candidates should have a valid rank in WBJEE / AIEEE and allotted a seat through Central Selection Counseling. Students allotted a seat has to take admission within a stipulated time notified by the college authorities at the time of Counseling & allotment.

  

Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA – 100 seats)

The applicant must be an Indian citizen, having passed/ appeared at the Higher Secondary Examination in the General or Vocational Stream of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from a recognized University/ Board. Candidates applying for admission should have English, Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics / Computer Application at the 10+2 level. The admission of the candidate would be subject to clearing as per guidelines of affiliated University.

Masters in Computer Application (MCA – 60 seats)

10+2+3 or equivalent in BCA/any stream with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science as one of the subjects from any recognized University in India. Also students have to clear the WBJECA examination of the current year.

M.Tech in Electrical Devices & Power Systems (18 seats)

Candidates with B.Tech/B.E/AMIE degree holders in EE/EEE/EIE with 60% marks can apply. Candidates with Valid GATE score and meritorious students qualifying in admission test conducted by JIS Group will get preference in admission.

M.Tech in Mobile Communication & Network Technology (18 seats)

Candidates with B.Tech /B.E/AMIE degree holders in ECE/EIE/CSE with 60% marks can apply. Candidates with Valid GATE score and meritorious students qualifying in admission test conducted by JIS Group will get preference in admission.

M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (18 seats)

Candidates with B.Tech/B.E/AMIE degree holders in CSE/IT/ECE/EIE/EE/MCA or equivalent (CSE) with 60% marks can apply. Candidates with Valid GATE score and meritorious students qualifying in admission test conducted by JIS Group will get preference in admission.

M.Tech in Software Engineering (18 seats)

Candidates with B.Tech/B.E/AMIE degree holders in BE/B.Tech in any stream or MCA or M.Sc. in CSE/IT or equivalent with 60% marks can apply. Candidates with Valid GATE score and meritorious students qualifying in admission test conducted by JIS Group will get preference in admission.

M.Tech in Bio-Medical Instrumentation Engineering (18 seats)*

Candidates with B.Tech/B.E/AMIE, degree holders in BE /B.Tech in BME/ECE/EIE or equivalent with 60% marks can apply. Candidates with Valid GATE score and meritorious students qualifying in admission test conducted by JIS Group will get preference in admission.

M.Tech in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (18 seats)*

 Candidates with B.Tech /B.E/AMIE, degree holders in BE /B.Tech in EIE/ECE/ICE or equivalent with 60% marks can apply. Candidates with Valid GATE score and meritorious students qualifying in admission test conducted by JIS Group will get preference in admission.

Bachelor in Business Administration BBA(H)-(120 seats)

The applicant must be an Indian citizen, having passed/ appeared in the Higher Secondary Examination in the General or Vocational Stream of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination from a recognized University/ Board. Candidates applying for admission should have English as one of the subjects at the 10+2 level. The admission of the candidate would be subject to clearing as per guidelines of affiliated University.

Masters in Business Administration MBA-(120 seats)

10+2+3 or equivalent in any stream from any recognized University in India. Also, the students must have a valid MAT/WBJEMAT score to be eligible for GD & PI.
